Other Ways to Give
- Donate your tax refund to a little reader! You can donate all or part of your state tax refund to SMART and help local children read and succeed. Enter the amount you wish to donate and charity code [5] for SMART on the appropriate line on your form. Download forms from the Oregon Department of Revenue website.
- Text ‘SMART’ to 90999 on your cell phone to donate $5. Standard message rates apply. Learn more.
- Plan a local fundraiser for SMART.
- Shop via the GoodShop.com portal and a percentage of every purchase you make at online stores - like Best Buy, Macy's, Target, Land's End, etc. - goes to SMART. Download the SMART Toolbar or enter Charity ID: Start Making A Reader Today.
- Search the Internet using GoodSearch.com and SMART earns a penny for each search. Point your browser to GoodSearch.com, or download the SMART toolbar. Charity ID: Start Making A Reader Today
- Give to SMART at Wells Fargo ATMs in Oregon and southwest Washington. You can donate multiple times a day - from one penny up to $249.99. There is no fee for using the service, and SMART receives 100% of your gift. The ATM receipt is proof of your gift, and it will also appear on your monthly account statement. To protect your privacy, Wells Fargo does not share your information with SMART.
- Donate your vehicle. SMART receives a donation once your vehicle has been sold at auction, and you will receive a tax receipt from CARS.
- Receive a 100% tax credit. Reduce the amount of tax you owe with a donation to SMART followed by a matching gift to the Oregon Cultural Trust online.

- Want to give a fixed amount each month? Set up a monthly giving plan. Gifts will be automatically deducted from your credit/debit card and you will receive a tax receipt at the end of the calendar year.*
- Make gifts of stock. Receive substantial tax advantages by donating appreciated securities.*
- Include SMART in your will or estate plan, or make a cash gift to an endowment to help ensure that SMART will always be available to future generations.*
- Business giving options include making a corporate donation, sponsoring a SMART event or promotion, matching employee gifts, and/or holding a workplace giving campaign.**
